JobWise (jobwise.cv) is a free website offering job-search tools and career guides. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you use the site, what we never collect, and the choices you have. Last updated: 23 October 2026.
The short version
Our tools run in your browser, on your device. We do not collect, upload or store the resumes or job descriptions you use with them. The only personal information we ever receive is information you choose to send us — for example, by filling in the contact form.
What our tools do with your text
The ATS Resume Checker (and any future JobWise tools) processes your text locally in your web browser using JavaScript. Nothing you paste into a tool is transmitted to our servers, saved in a database, or shared with anyone. When you close the page, the text is gone. There is no account to create and nothing to sign in to.
Information you give us
If you contact us through the Contact page, we receive your name, email address and the contents of your message so that we can read and reply to it. We use that information only to respond to you. We do not sell it, rent it, or add you to a marketing list.
Information collected automatically
Like almost every website, our hosting servers keep standard technical logs when you visit — your IP address, browser type, the pages requested and the time of the request. These logs are used to keep the site secure, diagnose faults and understand which pages are popular. They are not used to identify individual visitors or to build advertising profiles.
Cookies
JobWise sets only the cookies needed for the site to function correctly and securely. We do not run advertising networks, and we do not use cookies to track you across other websites. If we introduce privacy-respecting analytics in the future, we will update this policy first and describe exactly what is collected.
Who we share information with
We do not sell or rent personal information to anyone. Limited technical data is processed on our behalf by our hosting provider (Hostinger) purely to operate and secure the website. We may disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect the site and its visitors from abuse.
How long we keep information
Contact messages are kept only for as long as they are useful for dealing with your enquiry, and are then deleted. Server logs are rotated and removed in line with our hosting provider’s standard retention periods.
Your rights
You can ask us at any time what personal information we hold about you (normally only messages you have sent us) and ask for it to be corrected or deleted. Just write to us through the Contact page and we will respond promptly.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle information, we will update this page and note the new date at the top.
